POLICY FAQ'S

Can Radiate Success guarantee I will receive an interview or be offered employment? 

No, we wish we could. However, Radiate Success Consulting does not make any claims that you will receive employment as a result of using our services. Radiate Success Consulting is not a job placement agency, therefore, we can't guarantee you will be offered a job. Services provided are only one component of the job search process. Other components such as the efforts of the client and hiring authority are completely out of our control.

How long will my project take?

Because we conduct extensive research and specifically tailor each project to meet your needs, you can expect the following turnaround times:
 
Standard Resume: 5-7 business days after the date the Project Client Intake Form has been received.
Cover Letter: 5-7 business days after the date Project Client Intake Form has been received.
 

Additionally, the timely completion of your resume does not lie solely with Radiate Success Consulting, LLC. The successful completion of your resume, cover letter, and biography is a collaborative effort. By purchasing services from Radiate Success Consulting, LLC you accept and understand the vital role of communication and timely response to email and telephone calls.

Can you hold a slot for me?

Due to the high demand of our services, slots are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis and are only once payment has been rendered.

When should I contact Radiate Success Consulting for resume writing services?

We love onboarding new clients and look forward to making an impact in your life. We suggest contacting us when you are ready to dedicate the time that is required to complete your project which consists of returning phone calls, answering emails, and submitting forms/documentation in a timely manner.

What is a Project Client Intake Form?

A Project Client Intake Form is a form we use to collect additional information from our clients. This information consists of information such as Work History, Employment Performance, Education, Awards, and etc. Each form is tailored to meet the needs of clients individually. Please note, we unable to begin the process without this form. We ask that you please submit your Project Client Intake Form within 24 hours of receipt so your project is not delayed.

I received my resume, but it does not have an Objective Statement. Why not?

Objective Statements are considered obsolete. A long time ago, objective statements would be used to tell an employer that you are interested in the position. So for instance, "A career-driven Marketing Manager seeking a position with a marketing firm". When you apply for a position it is already implied that you are seeking that position because you applied for it. Professional Summaries, however, highlight your skills and what you could possibly bring to the organization without the hiring manager reading the entire resume.  Remember, hiring managers are extremely busy and typically only spend between 6-10 seconds looking at a resume.

I don't know what job I want to apply for, can I still request resume writing services?

You can, but I don't recommend it. At Radiate Success Consulting, LLC we pride ourselves on not only providing a quality product and services to our clients, but we also care about the success rate of each client. This means, you should only purchase services from a resume writer when you have a particular position you would like to apply for. Human Resource Managers and Hiring Officials can spot a resume that has been submitted without being tailored.

Furthermore, if you are applying for a Federal position, there is an extremely high probability that your resume will not be considered Highly Qualified if it fails to mention the KSA's (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) mentioned in the announcement.

Do you do rush projects? 

No we don't.  We believe that rushing is a sure-fire way to deliver a subpar product and we don't believe in subpar at Radiate Success Consulting, LLC. Our goal is to dedicate as much time as necessary to your project to ensure you have a competitive edge. This is why we invest in hours of research, writing, and editing, to ensure you will be satisfied with your project.

Can Radiate Success guarantee I will be offered speaking engagements as a result of purchasing a professional bio?

Just like with resumes, we can not guarantee you will be offered speaking engagements after receiving our service. However, you will become more marketable.

What is your refund policy?

Payments for completed services are non-refundable. Because of this, we like to remind our clients that we need your help while we complete your project. Please respond to emails in a timely fashion. It is extremely hard to provide you with an excellent customer service experience if you fail to respond to our calls or emails. If we fail to hear from you throughout the project, we will send you no more than two (2) reminders. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to take this process just as serious as we are. We are rooting for you! Because of the large volume of clients we serve, we have the right to consider your project abandoned seven (7) days from the initial date of purchase if we fail to hear from you or if you cease contact. When we take on your project, we are blocking a window out from accepting other projects from other clients. As a result,your payment will be considered forfeited and no refunds will be issued.

BASIC FAQ'S
 
Do I really need a resume?

Yes. A resume is one of the most important marketing tools you have. Your resume is the gateway to the interview. Employers want to see what you can bring to their organization, and it is great to have it laid out for them. We like to say the resume get's the interview and the interview gets the job.
 
What's the difference between a federal resume and a private sector (civilian) resume?

A federal resume tends to be at least 5 pages long, whereas a private sector resume is no more than 2 pages in length. Federal resumes require the applicant to go in more detail on their Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's).  It is important to ensure your resume and the answers you provide on the Assessment are in sync.

I have my federal resume completed, now what?

The next step is to upload your resume to USAJOBS. Also, make sure your profile is completed and all required documents have been uploaded to the site.
 
I have gaps in employment due to frequent moves. How do I annotate this on my resume?

 

Because each client who experiences a career gap is different, consider booking a discovery call in order to discuss your situation in detail. 
 
Can I order a Cover Letter even if I don't have a particular job in mind? 

Sure you can, but we don't recommend it. Cover letters should be specifically tailored to match the job that you are interested in. This is honestly how you get the most bang for your buck.
 
What eLearning platforms do you recommend if I would like to learn a new skill or increase my knowledge in my current career field?

We absolutely love to using LinkedIn Learning. The great thing about taking courses via LinkedIn Learning is once a course is completed, you can choose to add it to your LinkedIn profile. We also like to recommend taking personal and career development courses on sites such as Coursera, Skillshare and Udemy. I have no idea how to translate what I did in the military into civilian terms. Can you help?

The Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) has partnered with LinkedIn to offer military spouses who are moving due to a permanent change of station and military spouses within six months of separation LinkedIn Premium access, including LinkedIn Learning free for one-year. I'm not a huge fan of social media, so why do you recommend having a LinkedIn profile? 

LinkedIn is not your typical social media platform. It is a platform for professionals to network and make contact with potential employers. Thousands of LinkedIn users have secured employment due to having a LinkedIn profile that attracted the right recruiters.

I'm interested in entering into the tech industry. Can you provided some insight?

We most certainly can! In order to make you more competitive when seeking entry-level positions, we always like to refer our clients to Syracuse University D'Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families Onward to Opportunity program for free training and certification.
